Household Hazardous Waste

Household Hazardous Waste Day for the Town of St. Johnsbury for 2022 is as follows:

Spring:

Saturday April 16th from 9 am to 1 pm in St. Johnsbury

Summer:

Saturday July 16th from 9 am to 1 pm in Burke

Saturday August 6th from 9 am to 1 pm in St. Johnsbury

Fall:

Saturday October 15th from 9 am until 1 pm in Burke

Conditionally Exempt Generators (CEGs) can attend any of the collection dates above between 8 am and 8:30 am with prior registration. CEGs cannot fit into the collections at any other times. It is imperative that CEGs provide an accurate list with volume of what they are bringing in order to bill them accurately for their materials.  Lists will need to be provide to malterport@aol.com prior to the event.

Fluorescent bulbs and lamps will not be accepted at these events. They should be take to stores that already accept them within the community. Aubuchon Hardware located on Hastings St. in St. Johnsbury will accept fluorescent bulbs and lamps.

The following items will be accepted at Household Hazardous Waste Day- architectural oil based paints, latex paints, pesticides and primary batteries at no charge.
