  • Town Forest

The St. Johnsbury Town Forest is an easily accessible “hidden gem.” Within walking distance of downtown St. Johnsbury. This 97 acre municipal forest features a scenic trail network with views looking back to town and alongside the Moose River. There is also a large picnic pavilion constructed by the St. Johnsbury Rotary Club that is great for family picnics. The trail head is located off of Concord Avenue on Alms House Rd.

  • Three Rivers Transportation Path & Lamoille Valley Rail Trail

Phase 1A runs from the Three Rivers Bike Path at Mont Vernon Street to Chanel Drive on the far side of Joe’s Pond in West Danville. This section has a plethora of history and natural beauty to offer. More than 15 miles of trail now winds through the forests and farmlands of Caledonia County, shadowing Rte 2. The trail features beautiful ledge cuts from the original rail line as well as long stretches of quiet seclusion. Along the route there are many different amenities and small business for users to explore in Danville, West Danville, and St. Johnsbury.

  • Caledonia Trail Collaborative

We are a Vermont based trail system in the Northeast Kingdom.  Our mission is to work with area stakeholders to create and manage sustainable, human-powered recreational trails that are open to the public; to promote responsible use, conservation, and youth participation; and to respect the values of our communities and the vision of landowners. CTC will work with the Vermont Mountain Bike Association (VMBA) in this endeavor.
