Informational Meeting will be held on Monday March 6th at 7:30 pm at the St. Johnsbury School and will also be available online via zoom. (Click here for the zoom link)
Voting will take place on Tuesday March 7th from 8 am until 7 pm at the Town Office Building located at 51 Depot Square. Those who wish to vote via absentee ballot can sign up online or call/email the Town Clerk to obtain one.
Property Taxes are due March 14th by 4 pm. Payments can be made online, via the mail or in person at the Town Clerk's Office during business hours.
Dogs are required by State law to be registered by April 1st. You can register your dog by visiting the Town Clerk's Office during business hours. After April 1st a late fee of $10 will be applied.
Household Hazardous Waste Days 2026 Collection Events The Town of St. Johnsbury partners with the Town of Burke to offer four Household Hazardous Waste Days. See below for dates and information. St. Johnsbury: Saturday, May 16th and Saturday, September 26th. Burke: Saturday, July 18th, and Saturday, October 17th. All events will be open from 8:30-9 for CEGs* and 9-1 for St.J and Burke residents. *CEGs are Conditionally Exempt small Quantity Generators. These are businesses that generate ~220 pounds of HHW or less per month and generate 2.2 pounds or less of acutely hazardous waste per month.
