Frequently Asked Questions with regards to the water main break and the boil water notice:



1. Do I need to boil my water? 
YES- a boil water notice has been issued system wide including Passumpsic Fire District and St. Johnsbury Center.

2. I have discolored water, what can I do?
You can wait and it will clear up.  If it is still discolored after 12 hours run your cold water for 10-15 minutes.

3. What can I do about air in my water lines? 
Run the water in an upstairs bathroom for 10-15 minutes.

4. I have lower pressure than normal.  Response, we anticipate low pressure until tanks are full.

5. What if service has not returned to my house?  Please call the Department of Public Works at 802-748-4408
